About the Book:

“I keep six honest serving-men” is a guide to strengthen everybody’s innate ability to concentrate. The author’s approach is to guide the reader in “how to” concentrate to get the most out of life, studies and career development. The contents can be successfully utilized by young and old. Although the content of the chapters focuses mainly on studying and learning, it can easily be applied to the office, the boardroom, the classroom, family time discussions, etc. The key to acquire new knowledge and skills, and to solve problems, is founded in asking questions about the matter at hand.

The five chapters introduce the reader to what concentration is all about, how to apply it in the classroom and how to utilize it when studying at home. Guidance is also provided on the completion of assignments. The importance of relaxation in the learning process is discussed.  Each chapter is structured to allow the reader to actively engage with the content and ends with a personal reflection page.

The content of the book is enhanced with four appendixes that, amongst others, contain exercises to enhance concentration and solve problems. There is also a section on setting attainable goals for one’s life.
